My experience in the digital and print journalism world extends all the way to my high school days. It's how I discovered this was the field for me.

In college, I had the opportunity to cover several teams, including the Nebraska football, volleyball and softball beats while working for the Daily Nebraskan at UNL. This included the volleyball team's run to the national championship match in 2018 and the hiring of Scott Frost as head football coach.
Upon graduating I began work at News Channel Nebraska, the state's largest independent media company. Within months of being hired, I was trusted to be our first reporter based in the Nebraska panhandle. My first month in the area (January 2020), the western region of our website got just over 200,000 page views. By Summer 2021, that number increased to between 350,000-400,000 page views every month.
